Job Description
The Program Financial Analyst supports the Airborne Finance Operations team to provide expert financial advice and reporting services. This role supports financial management of program budgets through analysis, risk management and modelling to support objectives and inform effective decision making.
In this role you will have the opportunity to leverage a hybrid working arrangement.
Specific Functions
* Partner with the business and Airborne Finance Operations team to provide sound financial advice to meet organisational goals.
* Monthly variance analysis and financial reporting across programs and overheads,
* Compilation and review of budgets/ forecasts using actual performance, previous budget figures, etc
* Coordinate multiple financial cost analysis functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the Company’s cost accounting system,
* Liaison to the business for accurate cost allocations and cost rates, compliance with Cost Principles,
Qualifications
About You and What You'll Bring

A Bachelors’ Degree in a related discipline, coupled with demonstrable finance experience (2-4 years) from a project based, complex business environment, including budget development, financial control, forecasting, variance analysis and business partnering.
Working toward certification and professional memberships (CPA/CA) is desired for this role.
Experience
You will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand financial concepts, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. You will also have:
* Some familiarity working with systems such as CostPoint (or similar complex ERPs) and OAC/OBI.
* Strong working knowledge of and skills in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
* Knowledge of financial management, reporting and governance.
* Some experience understanding and controlling costs across projects and project delivery teams to success.
* Experience working in aviation and/or defence industries will be highly regarded.

To be successful you must be an Australian Citizen and preferably hold a current baseline security clearance or at a minimum be able to obtain one.
