About the Position
The City is currently seeking to appoint motivated, engaging andcustomer-focused Community Patrol Officers to join our CommunitySafety team.
Our team work with the community to create a safer City byproviding a highly visible and responsive service that engages withthe community.
We achieve this by:
1. Offering 24 hours, 365 days a year service
2. Conducting community patrols throughout the City’s 30 unique suburbs.
3. Observing, monitoring and reporting suspicious behaviours to reduce preventable crime.
4. Providing advice and information on various relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws.
5. Investigating complaints and actioning solutions for our Community.
6. Collaborating with WA Police as required, sharing relevant information.

Key Responsibilities
To be considered for this position you will have:
7. Security industry or related experience, including experience with community patrols, alarm response protocol and using CCTV systems.
8. An understanding of local community safety and security issues.
9. The ability to confidently engage with the community and deal with difficult situations to achieve positive outcomes.
10. Experience in accurately reporting and capturing information in reporting systems.
11. Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
12. The ability to think on your feet and problem solve using professional judgement in a lawful and accountable way.
About You

Essential qualifications include:
13. Certificate II in Security Operations.
14. Valid Western Australian ‘C’ class Driver’s licence.
15. Valid Western Australian Security Officer licence.
16. WA Crowd Controller license.

These permanent full-time positions are Level 5 Inside WorkforceAgreement positions which attract a salary from $74, –$78, per annum plus superannuation plus penalties whereapplicable.
