About the Role To support the rollout and effective implementation of the EPSS Scheme, they are currently seeking a Payroll Officer with extensive Income Protection and Workers Compensation experience to join them in Parramatta, with the flexibility to work from home. This is an estimated 3month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend. Working closely with the Claims Officers team, you will undertake high volume transactional functions including assessment and processing of income protection claims for injured workers along with the identification and correction of barriers to prompt wage reimbursements and payment reconciliation. Responsibilities Deliver professional and empathetic customer service Provide advice and support to eligible officers seeking workers compensation and income protection benefits Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mitigating risks Monitor the compliance of claims against legislation to assist in recovery and timely return to work Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships Provide expertise to management to inform income protection claim determinations, processing and other legal matters Complete rectification of errors to minimise reimbursements and processing delays Partner with Workers Compensation Review Officer to identify errors and omissions that are causing rejections and ensure timely processing of amendments Perform verification and reconciliation of wage reimbursements against invoices Complete quality assurance through refunding and crediting invoices where payments have been duplicated or overpaid Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality Maintain up to date knowledge and compliance with industrial awards, policies, best practices and legislative requirements About You Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written Professional, resilient and empathetic manner Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills High attention to detail Proactive and self-motivated with a team player attitude Requirements Demonstrated Payroll processing experience Proven Workers Compensation or Income Protection experience Extensive experience in a highly transactional payroll related environment Public Sector experience highly advantageous Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS office suite and SAP Intermediate Excel skills Valid Baseline security clearances & willingness to undergo pre-employment checks Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment How to Apply Applications will be reviewed within 48 hours of the job posting.
