We are looking for a Senior Technical Assurance Manager to lead the implementation of the configuration change and the development of Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance strategy for the organisation's major projects and rail safety function.You will be working for a government organisation looking after major rail projects in Queensland. We are looking for someone that has previous experience working across these types of projects as you will be leading and providing guidance to a team of Assurance Managers.Position Description:Lead the strategy for the implementation of Railway Configuration Change for major projects, ensuring compliance, integration, readiness, issue resolution, risk management, and safety through the project life cycle.Lead and inspire the team who hold the role of Railway Integrity Assurance Managers for MPERS, maintaining close working relationships with embedded and matrix assurance roles.Ensure delivery is in accordance with contract Railway Transport Operator (RTO) requirements by working closely with the Discipline Head of Systems Engineering to embed Systems Engineering & System Safety principles within business and project processes, seeking to continuously improve people, tools and process to ensure efficiency in alignment with business practices.Selection Criteria:Extensive knowledge (and practical experience) in development an implementation of system engineering, risk management, assurance and governance principles and practices as they apply to large and complex programs.Extensive knowledge of rail systems safety, CENELEC and safety case development within organisations, specifically within a large-scale project environment.High level of leadership, strategic thinking and management skills to deliver consistent outcomes across a large and complex safety-oriented organisation.Extensive knowledge of rail systems safety, EN50126/8/9 and safety case development within organisations, specifically within a large-scale project environment.This is a fixed term contract, the end date being July 31, 2027.
