About our Therapy graduate program
Our 12 month graduate program has been specially designed to expand on your university studies, with a dedicated Graduate Coordinator who will be there to support you on your journey.
The purpose of the graduate program is to:
* Build your clinical knowledge and skills
* Develop your professional identity
* Facilitate your connections to the broader therapy team
* Support your understanding and use of systems and processes
* Create opportunities for you to contribute to the organisation
The structure of the graduate program:
The structure of the graduate program has been specifically designed to interconnect your learning and development journey with your role as a therapist. We have allocated 1 day per week (for 12 months) for the graduate program with a hybrid delivery to allow you to focus on the weekly topic and engage with your graduate cohort.
During the graduate program:
During the graduate program we offer plenty of opportunities for you to develop your professional skills and specific clinical knowledge through your participation in formal training, workshops, small group activities and case study discussions.
You will also:
* Be supported by your Graduate Coordinator
* Build connections with other graduates
* Connect with multidisciplinary therapy service teams across Victoria and NSW and engage with industry experts
* Grow, refine and develop your theoretical and practical skills, experiences, knowledge, and applications
* Have dedicated Professional Development time
* Receive dedicated Self-care time
* Regular supervision with your Team Leader
About the role
At the beginning of your career, we focus on you and your development as a therapist. As you continue to advance your learning and development within the graduate program, your Graduate Coordinator and Team Leader will work with you on establishing your own caseload of clients.
Your role as a therapist, whilst participating in the graduate program will be to:
* Deliver therapy to children, young people and adults (our clients) who are experiencing learning, language, sensory, intellectual, physical, and cognitive difficulties.
* Provide evidence-based interventions
* Create opportunities for our clients to build on their strengths, by recognising their goals and developing strategies to achieve long-term solutions.
* Work with our clients, families, and their support networks formally and informally.
* Collaborate with a dynamic team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists

* Recently completed or will be completing your university studies in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy in 2024.
* Resume
* Academic transcripts (unofficial)
* Working with Children's Check (Employee)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
* Drivers License
* International Police Check (if you have lived overseas in the last 10 years for a continuous 12 month period)
The below items will be requested during the recruitment process:
* APHRA registration (Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy)
* Provisional Certified Practising Speech Pathology (CPSP) membership through Speech Pathology Australia (Speech Pathology)
