The Maternity Antenatal and Postnatal Service provides continuity of midwifery care throughout the antenatal and postnatal period including midwifery in the home. The model enhances the capacity to provide continuity of midwifery care to medically high risk pregnant women during the antenatal and postnatal periods. The MAPS model will consist of a seven day roster with flexibility around rostered days with no on call. The MAPS Registered Midwife coordinates and delivers high quality, holistic midwifery care to women and families of SWSLHD consistent with SWSLHD policies, procedures and standards. The position reports to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services via the Midwifery Unit Manager Women's Health Outpatients and the Midwifery/Nurse Manager for Women's & Children's Health.
