You will make decisions on applications for access to information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) on a variety of topics and provide advice on privacy matters under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).In your role, you will also be supporting and providing advice on other statutory, reporting and compliance functions relating to privacy and information access, in addition to helping to develop and improve internal processes and procedures. You may also be involved with the delivery of training to ensure staff are aware of their obligations for both access to information and privacy.About You To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience interpreting and providing advice on legislation. Working knowledge and experience in the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, and the Health Records and Health Records Act 2002 is preferred, but not essential for the role.You will have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to provide trusted advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
