The hospital is a level five teaching hospital for medicine, nursing, and allied health and also acts as a hub for health research in the region.
A 357-bed service, CHHC treats nearly 45,000 emergency presentations each year, including patients with a range of serious and life-threatening conditions.
The hospital provides a broad range of general and specialist services including general medicine, general surgery, specialist medicine and surgical services, day surgery, planned and emergency operating theatre surgical services.
In addition to operating a large acute hospital we offer sub-acute services including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, a regional psychiatric service, specialist clinics, dialysis and a range of outreach services.
About you
This exciting permanent position is an Electroconvulsive Therapy Registered Nurse who will practice and promote safe, efficient and effective nursing care for people experiencing mental health problems that reflect current National practice standards for mental health.
You will:
Link and collaborate across internal and external boundaries of a clinical unit/service.
Contribute in an environment of constant change, improving the ways members of the mental health team work together to provide treatment, care and support to individuals, their families and carers.
Facilitate a physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual environment that promotes individual and group safety and security.
All nursing positions are expected to be able to work across all components of the mental health service including inpatient and community-based services.

The Organisation
The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is a government funded health organisation that covers an area of 11,335 square kilometres extending from Port Macquarie in the south to Coffs Harbour in the north.

Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge and ability relevant to area within the mental health service.
Demonstrated clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care.
Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan and coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome based care.
Participation in a seven day rotating roster including public holiday and night duty.
