What your typical day will look like:
As the Risk Manager, APAC, you’ll safeguard the current and future economic value of dentsu by identifying risks within the business using a variety of methods including internal audit reviews, risk management activities, development of policies and procedures, managing self-assessments and carrying out investigations.
Overseeing the delivery of the risk plan for the APAC region, you’ll also supervise and undertake risk projects, maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and ensure the risk activities carried out adequately address the key risks in the Group.
Core responsibilities include:
1. Create the APAC Risk Universe and rollout the Enterprise Risk Management Module to APAC clusters and large markets.
2. Work with the business to facilitate improvements in the controls environment to mitigate risks to an agreed acceptable level, ensuring actions agreed with management are followed-up.
3. Prepare appropriate Management, Risk Committee and Audit Committee reporting and work with other team members to ensure audit work and other projects undertaken throughout the Group provides appropriate assurance.
4. Influence, collaborate and facilitates changes to improve the controls environment to mitigate risks to an acceptable level.
5. Monitor technology tools used (such as Riskonnect) within the department to ensure they are effectively used in line with the audit strategy promoting and encouraging tech savviness across the wider team.
6. Facilitate risk meetings with management to ensure the successful implementation of risk management aims and outcomes.
A bit about you:
7. Experience of business and enterprise risk management in a large company.
8. Able to relay risk to influence stakeholders and ensure risk activities are carried out.
9. Good relationship management capability, including dealing confidently with senior management.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
