Your primary focus will be on team building and development, stakeholder engagement, resource and budget management, and technical leadership. Collaboration across multiple departments will be essential to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a high-performing structural projects team, fostering a culture of continuous technical development and collaboration.Develop technical capabilities within the team by providing training, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and exposure to innovative engineering practices.Engage proactively with key stakeholders within the surface plants to align structural projects with operational goals.Oversee the cost-effective delivery of structural projects, including new installations, remediation, and removal activities.Manage resources, including procurement of parts and labour, to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.Conduct thorough technical development, design reviews, and risk assessments to uphold engineering excellence, compliance, and safety standards.Drive continuous improvement of procedures related to structural execution activities and QA/QC processes, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.Provide technical leadership to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges and ensure innovative, sustainable solutions.Ensure robust budget control and contract execution, with a focus on cost efficiency and operational excellence.Skills and Attributes:Minimum 9+ years of experience in structural engineering or construction management, with a proven record in technical design reviews, leading structural teams, and project execution.Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead large teams, fostering a positive and technically proficient work environment.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple departments and operational teams.Expertise in structural design, analysis, and execution standards, including familiarity with industry standards and engineering software.Proficiency in managing technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.Tertiary qualifications in Structural/Civil Engineering.RPEQ qualification or the ability to obtain one within 6 months will be highly regarded.For further information, please contact: Bec McManusApplications close: 8:00am Monday 6th January 2025How to apply:Start your application by clicking the "begin" button.
