We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Qlik developer to join our Commercial Lines & Distribution Data Insights team and help us push the boundaries of data visualisation. Our successful candidate will join an impactful team at the heart of the CL business. We enable informed decision-making by providing robust MI using the latest in business intelligence software. Forming part of the Exposure Management, Pricing & Insight department, the team provides a shared Business Information service offering reporting, insight, and analysis. We seek a developer experienced in crafting high-quality data solutions in Qlik Sense using Agile methodology. Confirmed experience and the ability to demonstrate the Aviva values is more important than specific qualifications. A bit about the job: As a member of our Qlik development team, you will build automated, self-serve solutions in Qlik Sense. Working with our Lead Developers to design and develop efficient data models, you will extract, transform, and visualise data providing informative, easy to use dashboards. Using agile methodologies, you will work in sprints to offer our users high-quality MI at pace, tracking progress through Azure DevOps. You will be responsible for improving and enhancing Qlik and driving efficiency and simplifying reporting for colleagues across the Commercial Lines. Our Qlik team supports a user group of over 1000 users across UK General Insurance, designing and delivering enhancements that provide insight and understanding on financial, operational, and governance aspects. Accurate and timely MI is an integral part of this objective. This role provides a one-stop-shop for anyone passionate about expanding their knowledge of Commercial Insurance, how it operates and what information it needs to function. You will support the broader CL Data Insights team to embed Nprinting technology, to reduce the effort and risk of inaccuracy where data is prepared manually. Skills and experience we're looking for: Experience developing BI solutions in Qlik Sense/QlikView. Scriptwriting experience essential with SQL, SAS or equivalent. Maintaining coding standards, high-quality documentation, change control methodologies & effective system testing. Relevant similar industry experience required. Good numeracy with strong quantitative reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills. What you'll get for this role: National Salary Circa £30,000. London Salary Circa £40,000.
