Our Social and Community Impact team is currently looking for a Casual Activation Assistant to join their team for approximately 15 hours per week.
As an Activation Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of RAC’s Social and Community Impact projects. You will assist in coordinating and executing key events and initiatives, ensuring every activation reflects RAC’s Purpose, Vision, and Mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the planning and execution of events like RAC Rescue Experience, Tow Safe, Learn to Drive, and Beyond the Roads presentations.
2. Drive and potentially tow a large trailer of equipment to metro and regional community events.
3. Welcome and engage members and the community.
4. Prepare and manage event collateral and ensure activation spaces are safe and well-prepared.
5. Handle member and stakeholder feedback, ensuring timely action and resolution.
6. Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
1. Previous experience ideally within an events or project management environment.
2. Experienced and confident driver, confident towing trailer - MR / HR License desirable (or willingness to obtain – costs covered by RAC).
3. Confident in the use of MS Office applications.
4. Exposure to event booking software such as Eventbrite is highly advantageous.
5. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a people-centric mindset.
6. Ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing needs.
7. Flexibility with working hours as events may occur outside of standard business hours, including on weekends.
