We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.The bid manager role that we are recruiting sits within our Parcels, Post & Commerce Services (PPECS) Division and reports to our Head of Solutions & Industry Partnerships. Working within a collaborative team of 3 bid specialists and with a wider team of solution consultants and freight consultants who help empower our sales team to pitch proposals that deliver for our customers.Customers for this role could include large or medium entities who send freight to either other entities or direct to consumers, they could be government departments, large eCommerce retailers, online marketplaces and a wide variety of other types of customers that Australia Post delivers outstanding freight services.About the opportunityIn this role you and the rest of the team are responsible for providing solutions focused, expert bid management support to the sales teams across the Australia Post business. Together you will be developing compelling bids, tenders and proposals that are tailored to specific customer requirements.Operating on a small number of opportunities at any one time (usually about 1-5) you will be a fulcrum in the bid creation machine, bringing together other parts of the business and creating engaging content that empowers our sales team to make successful pitches.This team are embedded within our sales teams and is seen as a key role within the business, in this team you are seen as a true partner who is critical to the success of our bids and proposals to customers. The bids team are seen and recognised as a key part of our success and a huge contributor to the next winning chapter in our story.What you’ll deliver with usThis role is primarily focused on the delivery of bids, tenders and proposals that are brought to the team by the sales team, these could comprise of RFPs, formal tenders and proactive proposals. You will create the content, ensure accuracy and co-ordinate across the business to complete proposals within deadlines and at a high quality. This role does not have any direct reports itself but does have responsibility for managing the process of creating bid responses.You’ll …Check the ongoing accuracy and relevance of content within our self-serve bids hub library and weave content into a suitable format to respond to specific bids & proposals.Write, read, edit and check material at a high level in order to ensure accuracy, customer focus and relevance.Liaise across the business, pulling information together to ensure what is written in a bid response is what we can deliver.Work across the business with stakeholders to create new written content that aligns to bid requirements.Co-ordinate the creation of each bid document, across the business, working back from deadlines.About youYou will have excellent reading & writing skills, have the ability to understand complex requirements and deliver against them.
