To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Telemetry Instrumentation Technical Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing team activities, ensuring the reliability of electronic instrumentation and automation systems for Water, Wastewater, and Council facilities.To succeed in this role, you will have:Hold a qualification in Electrical Instrumentation or a related discipline.Proven experience in delivering electrical instrumentation projects, including repairs and maintenance.In-depth knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation equipment.Experience in leading a team of instrumentation tradespersons effectively.Skilled in managing instrument assets and utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), alongside knowledge of workplace health and safety legislationOn a typical day this role will: Plan and schedule daily preventive maintenance and breakdown repair taskings of the Telemetry Instrumentation staff and/or contractors, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Provide supervision and technical advice for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telemetry instrumentation, sharing your expertise with the team to guarantee top-quality results.
Identify and lead telemetry instrumentation upgrade projects to assist Community Utilities asset operational programs in accordance with schedule and budget, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently and effectively.
Manage and maintain instrumentation asset and maintenance databases, contributing to a well-organized and streamlined workflow.
Develop and review safe work method statements and risk assessments, and implement safety strategies to promote a secure working environment for all team members.
