About the roleNewly created part-time permanent position (between 0.5 and 0.8) based in North Ryde or Port Macquarie. Reporting directly to the Philanthropy Manager, you will be responsible for:Developing and executing a dynamic communication strategy for Dementia Australia Research Foundation donors and stakeholders, highlighting the impact of research.Translating complex scientific research into clear, engaging content for non-expert audiences, including philanthropists and potential supporters.Creating a suite of donor communication materials, such as emails, videos, articles, speeches, fact sheets, and social media content.Writing plain English summaries of research for use in direct mail, donor care booklets, annual reports, and other publications.Proposing and implementing new communication initiatives to raise awareness and increase fundraising for dementia research.Collaborating with the General Manager and ensuring timely production and promotion of content across the organisation.Maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as researchers and media teams, to maximise content quality and reach.Supporting the Philanthropy Team by creating content for major donor events and preparing research proposals for funding applications.Gathering and analysing data to support research grant applications and identifying opportunities for integrating research into broader organisational initiatives.What is in it for you?Salary benefits: We offer all employees the opportunity to salary package up to $15,900 each year for living expenses and up to $2,650 each year for entertainment benefits.Leave allowances: In addition to your annual leave allowance, you will receive one day paid birthday leave, paid days off during our end of year closure period (if these days fall within your regular working schedule), up to six weeks parental leave and 17.5% annual leave loading.Work/life balance: Flexible, hybrid work arrangements.Employee benefits: Access to discounts and savings at over 450 retailers across Australia.
