A place to make a difference: In this full time, permanent role, you’ll focus on provision of a range of specialist interventions to children and young people who have witnessed or have been victims of domestic and/or family violence and sexual abuse. Based in Mount Isa, you’ll be a key part of our Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Service. You will make a difference by: Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progress Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard Enhancing stakeholder relationships and partnerships with the view of providing clients with support that will help them to address their needs Working collaboratively within a small team to deliver best practice to women and children who are experiencing DFV A place to feel valued: You’re an experienced child and adolescent practitioner who is passionate about supporting families within a child centred, strengths-based framework. Importantly, you have a strong understanding of the impact of trauma on children and their families and you’re keenly aware of the additional impacts and barriers experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
