Schools Programs Coordinator - Northcote Aquatic & Recreation CentreClublinks Management has been appointed to manage and operate the state-of-the-art Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) on behalf of the City of Darebin.NARC opened its doors in November 2023. This fully accessible venue comprises of indoor and outdoor pools, aquatic play spaces, gym and group fitness studios, health suites, café, reformer pilates studio, change rooms and outdoor relaxation areas.The role will be responsible for overseeing the Learn to Swim programming and events for schools and supporting the teacher team at the brand-new NARC facility. We are open to full-time or part-time for the role.Responsibilities will include:Member of the Leadership team at NARCWork in close collaboration with direct Manager (NARC Aquatics Manager) and Venue ManagerDirect oversight of all Schools aquatic programs throughout school terms including liaising with schools contacts, bookings and program coordinationAssist in the recruitment, onboarding, training and support of the NARC Learn to Swim teamLead Schools program planning and leadershipAssist the Aquatics Manager in Aquatic spaces bookings systems to allow for schools programs.Grow school occupancy levels by hosting swimming carnivals, schools events and fun daysEstablish and maintain effective communication systems with all team members and venue usersRetain and inspire the Schools Learn to Swim teamAssist in the delivery of staff training programs, both in-house and externalManage staffing budget and targets associated with schools program participationOversee rostering and program management, including maintaining safety standardsDevelop outbound relationships with local schools to facilitate ongoing usageOversee that appropriate systems are in place to ensure OHS compliance of all employeesAbout youYou will:Nail our valuesDemonstrate leadership and stakeholder management skillsHold an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate or Swim Australia TeacherHold an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant Aquatics or Swim Australia Teacher of Babies & ToddlersPossess strong written communication skills including the ability to develop, review and update processes.Have a current Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to attain)Be able to work a varied roster including opens, closes and weekendsExhibit exceptional interpersonal skillsHave a current First Aid and CPR CertificatePossess a Working with Children Check and National Police CheckHow to applyPlease send us your application (cover letter & resume) promptly as we shall review applications as they are received.Clublinks encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people of colour.
