QETC is a multi-campus Department of Education school operating within South-East Queensland's Youth Detention Centres at Wacol. QETC caters to male and female students from across the state who are either on remand or have been sentenced for criminal offences. The curriculum includes a focus on individualized literacy and numeracy learning, as well as the social development of students using restorative practice principles. The ideal candidates will have experience in student-centred learning with the ability to close individual skills gaps, develop language skills, encourage positive behaviours and social skills, and create future pathway opportunities. This role requires working within a Queensland Police Service (QPS) custodial environment, involving direct contact and interaction with young people accommodated in the Caboolture Watchhouse.
