The role of the Electrical Technician (maintenance execution) is to be responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective repair and maintenance of fixed plant and equipment.
Key responsibilities include executing maintenance and shutdown plans for all fixed surface and underground electrical equipment on site
Location: Prominent Hill, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off
Reporting to: Electrical Supervisor

In This Role You Will:
* Perform routine maintenance activities to the electrical equipment on site as per the maintenance strategy.
* Perform breakdown maintenance activities to the electrical equipment as required to minimize the impact to production.
* Assist with the production of standard maintenance procedures.
* Undertake electrical installation work as directed.
* Ensure that the provisions of the Electrical Act SA 1996 and AS/NZS 3000:2007 are adhered to.
* Deliver high level of commitment to personal, team and site safety procedures and systems
* Understand and identify electrical isolation procedures and processes to ensure external work groups can work safely and effectively.
* Fault finding skills and understanding of fixed plant assets and components.
* High safety culture and skills.
About You:
* At least 5 years’ experience in relative maintenance experience or 3 years continuous processing environment (post trade).
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of Australian Standards in relation to electrical installations and maintenance.
* Highly development Industrial experience in instrumentation maintenance.
* Prior experience with Low / High Voltage motor maintenance experience.
* Previous experience with PLC/Automation system maintenance experience.
* Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills, with high attention to detail, excellent problem solving and communication skills.
* Proven ability to build collaborative, honest and respectful relationships with colleagues and contractors.
* Demonstrated ability to be able to adjust or change best to meet the needs of the situation or environment to deliver upon project outcomes.
* Proven ability to look for continuous improvement opportunities.
