About the role
Reporting to the National Personal Injury & Risk Manager, you will support the day-to-day injury management activities across national operations. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders, including internal teams, insurers, third-party administrators, and health professionals, to drive optimal RTW programs, manage claims, and enhance rehabilitation initiatives.
Duties
* Develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation strategies to support injured workers in returning to work safely and promptly.
* Ensure adherence to workers' compensation and work health safety legislation across different states.
* Manage a portfolio of claims, participate in case conferences, and liaise with third-party providers to optimise recovery strategies.
* Conduct assessments to enhance recover-at-work programs and support suitable duties initiatives.
* Provide timely advice to internal stakeholders and assist in managing legal or disputed claims.
* Contribute to business improvements, maintaining suitable duties registers, and aligning injury statistics with risk management and wellbeing initiatives.
Skills & experience
* Experience in injury management, particularly with high-risk injury claims.
* Tertiary qualification in an allied health field or extensive experience in workers' compensation case management.
* Knowledge of workers' compensation legislation across various states.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to manage a high workload and multitask effectively.
* Diploma in Personal Injury & Workers Compensation Management ((or a willingness to undertake this qualification).
