In this role, you'll be at the heart of our credit risk measurement, strategy, and portfolio analysis efforts. You'll dive into data and provide insights that drive strategic decisions. As a strategic risk partner, you'll consolidate and interpret data to offer valuable product portfolio risk insights to senior management and other areas of the bank, as well as external parties like regulators and rating agencies. Your work will involve delivering key metrics, providing commentary on portfolio performance, and analysing risk profiles across various retail and business lending products. You'll also help control and review our credit risk appetite, enhance reporting, and develop structured data sets to support reporting, strategy, and modelling.About YouWho are we looking for? We are looking for someone with a passion for data and analytics! Ideally, you will have qualifications in either mathematics, finance, statistics, actuarial sciences, computer science, economics, physics, or engineering. Experience in mathematical/statistical analytics, management reporting, and programming languages like SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Python, and PowerBI DAX is essential. You will be a strong analytical thinker who can translate data insights into business benefits and analyse financial data effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage and prioritise work independently, and strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills are a must. While not essential, knowledge of banking products and services, Basel and APRA Prudential Standards, data visualization software like Power BI, decision systems like Decision Point (Dp3) and Power Curve, and collections strategies will be a BONUS!Ready to make an impact?
