Job Title: Project Manager – Clinical Research Unit

The Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the Operations Director and Program Operations Lead in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) to develop and deliver UNSW Medicine & Health's CRU strategic priority around high quality clinical research.
This role will require stakeholder management with key groups within UNSW and collaboration with the UNSW affiliated network. The Kirby Institute and The George Institute for Global Health are key stakeholders for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply superior knowledge of project operations to support preaward grant applications, develop CRU resources and manage timeline deliverables across the entire life cycle of CRU projects.
* Stakeholder management with key groups within UNSW and collaboration with the UNSW affiliated network.
* Experience planning and implementing study logistics including central laboratory specimen collection, shipment and storage, drug distribution and drug accountability processes.
* Experience in budget development and/or management including reporting to funding agencies and resource allocation.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field, or relevant equivalent work experience.
* Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines with substantial (at least 7 years) relevant experience in the conduct of clinical research, preferably in an academic setting.
* Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
* Good computer knowledge and skills in using various tools, applications, and systems.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Effective clear interpersonal and written communication skills across various levels of stakeholders.
