We have an exciting opportunity within Brisbane City Council, Public Space Operations as a Pest Technician who can work in Brisbane City and the surrounding suburbs. As part of the team, you will be working on various projects around Brisbane.
About your new role
Working with Public Space Operations you will undertake Pest Management and Control tasks. This role will require you to inspect premises for signs of pests. Also remove unwanted pests, such as roaches, rats, ants, bedbugs, mosquitoes, ticks, and termites that infest buildings and surrounding areas.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Demonstrate Pest Management skills through previous work history.
* Ability to work autonomously and within team environments.
* Ability to problem solve, think critically, make decisions and organize work flow.
What you will need to exceed
We are looking for an experienced Pest Control Technician who is reliable and enjoys providing high-quality work. A strong sense of teamwork, a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines. To be a successful applicant, the following licences are required:
* Mandatory Licences:
*
o Pest Management Technician Licence
o Termite Management Licence
o Construction White Card
o Min. C Class Car Licence
o TMI (Traffic Management Implementation) Licence or willing to obtain within first 3 months of employment
o Chain of Responsibility Certification or willing to obtain within first 3 months of employment
o First Aid + CPR Course or willing to obtain within first 3 months of employment
* Beneficial Licences:
*
o Any other Tickets/Licenses (Confined Space, Forklift, etc.)
