The opportunity:
We are seeking a pharmacy student to join our supportive and friendly Slade Pharmacy team on a casual basis. You will be based at our Slade Pharmacy site in the Wesley Private Hospital in Auchenflower.
In this role, you’ll:
1. Assist in the sale of S2 and S3 medicines while displaying an appropriate level of knowledge
2. Dispense medications under supervision for hospital inpatients and outpatients
3. Assist customers with general queries, including liaising with hospital staff
4. Replenish stock and assist in maintaining inventory levels both in pharmacy and in the hospital
5. Assist the pharmacy teams with other ad-hoc pharmaceutical duties
The pharmacy operates from 7:30am – 8:00pm weekdays, and 7:30am – 5:00pm on weekends, with varying start times during those times.

Slade Pharmacy Wesley is conveniently located on level 2 of the Wesley Hospital (on the left-hand side of the main entrance, behind admissions). The pharmacy provides a wide range of products and services to inpatients of the Wesley Hospital, as well as non-PBS dispensing and non-prescription items for outpatients and staff.

Who are we looking for?
You’ll:
10. Be currently enrolled as a 1st or 2nd year university pharmacy student
11. Be adaptable, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workload
12. Be a strong communicator and be able to work autonomously and within diverse team structures

Preferred Requirements:
18. Minimum 1 year of dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
19. Certificate in pharmacy (community or hospital) or equivalent
