We are seeking an experience Manager of Governance, Risk and Compliance to lead the quality, risk management and ensure business continuity at a leading government organisation.Key responsibilities Develop and manage the organisations' risk management framework; coordinate reporting on risk profile; analyse risk reporting and preparereports for the Audit and Risk Committee.Provide technical knowledge, continuous improvement/maturing of thegovernance arrangements, compliance (including privacy and incidentmanagement), business continuity and the organisation's riskmanagement processes.Identify and provide support to the Director GLRC and the broaderorganisation in identifying potential threats to brand reputation, financialsustainability, operational efficiency, compliance and safety to fullydevelop a shared understanding of overall risk exposure.Develop and lead change management practices and activities to embedcontemporary and improved governance, risk management andcompliance practices and achieve strong cultural practices that balancebusiness needs with the organisation's risk appetite.Lead and manage the business continuity framework and planning,prepare the business for handling incidents and establish and maintain aclear communication protocol.Act as a governance, risk and compliance advocate, influencing andmanaging stakeholder relationships whilst providing expert advice andinformation on emerging governance & risk issues.Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships withinternal and external stakeholders to enhance and maintain effectivegovernance and risk mechanisms.Lead and manage the preparation of a range of complex documentationfor the Board and Audit and Risk Committee including report, Boardpapers and other documentation as required to meet key compliance andreporting deliverables.Lead and manage the organisations' internal audit function in accordance withlegislative requirements under the Financial Accountability Act 2009 andthe Financial and Performance Management Standard 2009, also ensuringthe implementation of internal audit recommendations.Lead and manage a team of staff and work collaboratively to embed aculture of continuous improvement to support excellence in governanceand risk management.If you would like to know more about this role please reach out to Alison Detaille at (email protected)
