Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be responsible for undertaking hands-on field work and technical outputs in support of the Atlas Mine Geology team on site. There will also be a requirement to assist other technical services and operation teams, including Environmental, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Surveying, and Operations, making for a diverse role with plenty of upskilling potential. This role will be on a Maximum Term contract till June 30, 2025.Duties:Assisting site Geology team with:Assist the technical services and mine operations teams to deliver organisational objectivesUndertake a series of sampling including, but not limited to site blast-hole sampling, plant sampling, stockyard or ROM sampling, density and moisture samplingOrganise and track safe transportation of samples from sites to the LaboratoryDaily Short Interval Control including, but not limited to Daily pit face checks, ROM inspections, Waste dump inspections, Stockyard inspections, and drone photos to assistMining and Crushing data entry, data validation, and processing into Mine MarketStockyard Management – Produce Crushing instructions to execute Integrated Weekly PlansRegular stocktakes and ordering of stock replenishmentRespectable vehicle upkeep and maintenancePerform other reasonable tasks assigned to you by line leader or other site leaders.Assisting site Environmental and Hydrogeology teams with:Water monitoring and samplingVegetation and fauna monitoringBore monitoringAssisting site Engineering and Survey teams with:Blast monitor management and data trackingBasic survey set out and pick-upsPerform manned UAV surveysSkills and Experience:Experience working in a mine production/fieldwork environment, including knowledge and skills of Microsoft OfficeWA C class manual driver's license or national equivalentDemonstrated ability to build sustainable relationships across all levels of the organisation with a consultative approachExcellent people and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to problem solve and show initiativeFlexible in approach with an adaptive style to suit changing workplace requirementsAbility to work a flexible roster to provide coverage across the 3 operationsTake part in, and prompt a positive safety culture, completing Take 5's, Hazard reporting, and Safety conversationsAbility to work autonomously and with limited supervisionMine Site Facilities:Modern, comfortable camp accommodation and village shop.Quality food options (vegetarian and healthy options).Fully equipped gym facilities and multi-use outdoor courts.SWIFT in-room entertainment with comprehensive content.Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provides events for your family.About the Company:Atlas Iron is an Australian owned Iron Ore company, mining and exporting direct shipping ore from its Mount Webber, Sanjiv Ridge, and Miralga Creek mining operations in Western Australia's Pilbara Region.
