In addition, you will actively support the Category Manager, as well as being accountable for the end-to-end management for the Contemporary Womenswear category.ResponsibilitiesTake ownership and drive the execution of the Myer Merchandise strategy for Womenswear Contemporary portfolioFull accountability for trading the category and implementing appropriate tactical activities in relation to sales, profit, stock to drive business outcomesManage complete range selection for national brands including financial growth strategy, product selection, go to market strategy and in season trade of the brandMaintaining solid competitor and trend analysis to remain relevant and build a range to suit the market and Myer customer segmentationApply advanced negotiation skills to achieve optimal trading terms that deliver commercial targetsWork collaboratively with the planning team to determine assortment plans, conduct PSA, build product strategy, and determine best sourcing methods for the productBe responsible for marketing plans and our communications strategyLead team to high performance through regular and effective coaching, feedback, mentoring and training and development opportunitiesAbout youSeasoned experience within Buying, ideally within WomenswearA strong understanding of the customer, and the product category to build compelling rangesAdvanced trend analysis and ability to implement according to strategyA dynamic, strategic individual with the ability to proactively spot new opportunities for the business within this categoryA commercial and tasteful eye for productStrong business acumen, financial and analytical skillsExperienced in trade marketing and strong negotiation skillsA leader who inspires others and can lead by exampleBenefitsGenerous Team Member discounts on all Myer productsWork flexibly from home and our Support Office based in DocklandsA supportive leadership teamVolunteer, parental and lifestyle leave availableService Recognition and Inspirational People AwardsOngoing training and development for your career progressionThe opportunity to be a part of and contribute to the Myer growth strategyAust.
