Store Assistant - Curtin School of Nursing Faculty of Health Sciences Perth, Western Australia Permanent Part Time
A great opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the efficient operation of our new store facility.
The Store Assistant will work closely with the Store Coordinator and play a key role in inventory management, purchasing, and ensuring compliance with university policies.
This position involves various administrative tasks, inventory management, and support for equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage inventory effectively, conducting regular stock takes and assisting with the purchasing of consumables to maintain appropriate stock levels.
* Ensure that storage facilities are properly maintained, and that all delivered goods are checked, catalogued, and secured following University policies.
* Adhere to procurement procedures to obtain supplies at favorable prices, ensuring quality and timely availability.
* Comply with occupational health and safety requirements in storage practices and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed, along with any other relevant tasks.
Requirements:
* Educational Background: Completion of Year 12 and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
* Technical Skills: Proven ability to perform minor repairs on a variety of equipment, demonstrating hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
* Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity to effectively navigate and resolve challenges in high-pressure situations.
* Computer Proficiency: Proficient in a range of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and email, ensuring efficient and effective information management.
* Safety Commitment: A demonstrated commitment to adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and practices, ensuring a safe work environment for all.
