Job Summary:
An Instrumentation Electrician is required to maintain and repair instrumentation and electrical systems within an ore processing plant.
Duties:
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems across ore processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation components used in processing operations.
* Follow established safety protocols and procedures when conducting maintenance and repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
* Closely collaborate with the processing operations team, reporting issues and providing electrical and instrumentation support to minimize downtime.
* Assist in commissioning, calibrating, and testing instrumentation systems, ensuring accuracy and functionality in the plant's control systems.
* Coordinate and communicate effectively with both operational and maintenance teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of electrical and instrumentation issues.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and other maintenance activities.
* Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and adhere to safe work practices in a high-risk environment.
Requirements:
* Electrical Trade Qualification.
* Current Western Australia Electrical Licence (Unrestricted).
* Certificate IV in Instrumentation.
* Current First Aid certificate.
* Current CPR/LVR certificate.
* Working at Heights (preferred).
* Valid Drivers Licence (C class).
* Extensive demonstrated electrical experience working in ore processing facilities.
* Australian Working Rights.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
