The Autism Connect Early (ACE) Programme is seeking a passionate and motivated Special Needs Teacher or experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our transdisciplinary team of educators, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and positive behavioural support practitioners. You will provide specialist and quality early intervention support to children on the Autism Spectrum.
About Ashton's Place & ACE Ashton's Place Limited is a charitable foundation that supports autistic children aged between 3 and 6 years old. The Autism Connect Early (ACE) Programme in 5 early childhood centres, which provide early childhood support for children and their families. The programme aims to promote skill development and meaningful participation in the early childhood setting using naturalistic supports. We aim to meet children where they are at; offer individualised regulation supports; build social connection and relationships; and support them to achieve their individualised goals.
About your role Working within a transdisciplinary team, you will deliver individualised and quality Early Childhood Intervention to children with Autism.You will collaborate with the therapy team to ensure strategies to meet learning goals are embedded within children's everyday routines.You will support meaningful participation within the mainstream Kindergarten Programme.You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with families. You will contribute to the monitoring of skill acquisition and recording of intervention participation. You will participate in ongoing Autism specific intervention training with experienced educators and therapists.You will contribute to research processes as required for programme evaluation and ongoing research. About you Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or relevant Special Education Teaching qualifications. Your role within the team & renumeration will be reflected by your qualification & experience.Ability to Implement stimulating programs based on the children's interests, the EYLF and QKLG.Strong verbal communication skills. Commitment to the provision of quality education to children with Autism.Confidence in building strong relationships and partnerships with children and families.Ability to observe and record children's learning and contribute to their educational portfolios.
