We’re a values-driven business that strives for high performance and growth as we look towards the future.The Role:We currently have an opportunity to join Acenda (formally known as MLC) as a Personal Assistant to the General Manager of the Pricing & Insurance Sustainability and the General Manager of Customer Experience and Marketing, in a permanent position. This opportunity is open to work from our Melbourne or Sydney office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options.The Personal Assistant is accountable for ensuring that the General Managers in Customer & Strategy are fully supported, by undertaking a wide range of administrative and organisational duties including diary management, business coordination, communications, expense control, key internal and external stakeholder management and other day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the overall performance of their business lines.Your responsibilities will include:Ensure all administrative matters are undertaken proactively and effectively.Provide comprehensive support to enable the GM’s to focus on managing high-level business issues and strategies vs administrative matters.Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position.Proactive and extensive diary management, ensuring the ability to identify and prioritise meetings, conferences, and functions.Respond to emails professionally on behalf of the GMs.Manage all travel arrangements for business trips and meetings.Take ownership of the expense management system: Flexipurchases, receipts, coding expenses for Chiefs/GMs, processing invoices, and verification of approvals.Work towards deadlines and demonstrate effective time management skills.Develop quality internal and external stakeholder relationships that foster commitment and support for operational and strategic initiatives.Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to processes and procedures pertinent to the role; and escalate events, issues, or breaches as they are identified.About you:Strong ethical standards with attention to detail.Highly developed verbal, written, presentation, and persuasion skills.Advanced MS Office Suite skills and ability to adopt new technologies.Proven track record of delivering business initiatives within budget and timelines, with adherence to risk and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, work collaboratively across functions, and lead diverse teams to achieve business outcomes.Bringing our best to life - why join us?We do work that makes a genuine difference to our customers, partners, and community.We have a supportive, inclusive, and flexible team culture, including hybrid working.We support your growth and development, and careers across our business units and teams that are as unique as our people.We reward and celebrate our successes through our incentive and recognition programs.We offer tools, resources, and benefits to support your wellbeing, including additional lifestyle leave and our Family Life hub.We connect and celebrate our diversity at work through our social committees and employee groups, and we contribute to our community with paid volunteer leave and through our sustainability commitments.Should an applicant be the preferred candidate, background checks (including Federal Police Checks, Employment checks, ASIC banned and disqualified persons, and Bankruptcy checks) will be completed prior to the candidate's employment being confirmed.
