The Opportunity
Banora Point Retirement Village is a close-knit community set among native gardens and mature paperback trees - the ideal place to enjoy a coastal retirement with just 7km from stunning beaches like Coolangatta and Greenmount. In other hand, Mountain View Retirement Village is a vibrant community set on 28 acres in Tweed Valley surrounded by lush rainforest, offering up a rural feel with the benefit of only being 3.5km to the Murwillumbah town centre.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager, you will ensure our buildings & fixtures are well-maintained and presentable.The ideal candidate needs to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and have general maintenance or 'handyperson' experience. You will be working in a tight-knit community where you will thrive in making our community a better place for residents!
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday 08.00-16.00, between two villages (Aveo Banora Point & Aveo Mountain View), and enjoy your weekend off!!!

You will
* You will attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others
* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure projects undertaken are safe, timely and completed to a high standard
* Oversee maintenance work undertaken by Contractors within the community
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
* Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team!
* Please note - this is not a gardening role.
What you will bring
* Experience in General Maintenance and 'Handyperson' roles (highly desired),
* Proven experience in coordinating maintenance activities, ideally within a facilities management or similar environment
* A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day
* Valid driver's licence (required)
* Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
* Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
