The Opportunity:
This is a twelve (12) month fixed term opportunitywith the possibility of extension and/or permanency .
Streamline WA is the State Government’s vehicle to drive whole of government regulatory reform to make it easier to do business in Western Australia and promote a strong, competitive, and diverse economy.
Led by regulatory and economic development government agencies and the Streamline WA Steering Committee, Streamline WA aims to implement reform projects and deliver outcomes to:
1. Ease the administrative load on business and Government;
2. Improve and modernise parts of the legal framework;
3. Support digital transformation and online service delivery;
4. Strengthen cross sector collaboration to improve regulatory culture and practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, dedicated, and collaborative Principal Policy Officer to work on the whole-of-government approvals approach. Working closely with counterparts in multiple Government agencies, you will lead delivery of approvals reform workstreams, planning, guiding, and implementing new ways of working. You will have a keen eye on how initiatives can be translated into the operational world, considering risks, dependencies, and change management techniques.
About You:
We are looking for a policy or project specialist with:
5. the ability to influence without formal power in a cross Government setting;
6. an ability to interpret and work with subject matter experts to find solutions to complex environmental planning and assessment issues; and
7. a sense of humour, and ability to respond to uncertainty and ambiguity as opportunities.
