Senior Project Officer – Agriculture Climate AdaptationPosition Overview The Senior Project Officer, Agriculture Climate Adaptation, works under the direction of the Team Lead, Agriculture Climate Adaptation, and as part of the Agriculture Section.Climate change is exacerbating current risks and creating new ones.Australian farmers need to consider long-term trends in the climate when making decisions about infrastructure development, the suitability of land for certain crops or livestock, investment decisions, farm business succession, and adaptation of farming systems.Mitigation alone is not enough to stop the impacts of climate change from increasing.The Senior Project Officer leads projects and activities that aim to have real impacts on the agriculture sector by raising the awareness, knowledge, and skills of farmers/producers to continue to take action to adapt to a changing climate.The successful candidate will contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with delivery partners and customers to develop and implement impactful solutions for the Agriculture Sector.Application Closing Date: Tuesday 12 November 2024 For further information, please review the position description on Bureau of Meteorology Careers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
