Role Purpose:
The Resident Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment. This role ensures the seamless operation of the site and enhances customer satisfaction. Duties and
Responsibilities:
· Plan and execute electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment.
· Perform daily system audits.
· Conduct electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance.
· Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies.
· Undertake electrical and mechanical repairs and component replacements.
· Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders within agreed time lines.
· Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution.
· Manage on-site spare parts, including regular stock-taking and ordering as per company procedures.
· Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimise systems, collaborating closely with team members and other departments.
· Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.
· Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean.
· Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH&S regulations.
· Comply with company policies and procedures.
· Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities.
· Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
· Trade qualification in electrical/mechanical disciplines.
· Recognised mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
· Hold valid driver’s license
· D-Licence beneficial
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
· Team player
· Desirable: Familiarity with programmable logic controls (PLCs), experience with automated equipment, proficiency in German language.
· Pre employment medical, D&A and police check to be completed for employment
