About the roleThe Clinical Lead is a key leadership position within the headspace team and provides oversight to the coordination and delivery of clinical services.The Clinical Lead will ensure that we deliver high-quality services to young people aged 12-25 years old, their families, friends, and the community. The primary responsibility is to provide clinical leadership and direction to the team, ensuring that day-to-day clinical work effectively meets the needs of young people and oversees the quality of clinical service delivery and outcomes for young people, based on the Clinical Governance Framework.The Clinical Lead will oversee and support high-quality clinical pathways for young people and their families within and through the service, including screening, intake and assessment, care planning, clinical reviews, and caseload review processes.The Clinical Lead will provide clinical reflective supervision and guidance to headspace Youth Wellbeing Workers in the Town of Port Hedland and Shire of East Pilbara, as well as guidance to staff, MBS providers, and co-located staff when working with young people in the centre.About the practiceWe are Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing vital early intervention mental health services to young people with mild to moderate mental health issues affecting their wellbeing.Our mission is to improve the mental and social wellbeing of young people by providing services that are welcoming, friendly, supportive, and culturally safe.As the Clinical Lead, alongside the Service Manager, you will oversee the ongoing design, delivery, and improvement of evidence-based care to support young people's wellbeing, including providing clinical leadership, consultation, and expertise to staff, consortium, and private practitioners, as well as engaging with local communities and key stakeholders.This is an ongoing full-time role based in South Hedland.Experience and qualifications requiredTertiary level qualification in a relevant clinical discipline including clinical psychology, psychology, mental health, mental health nursing, social work, or equivalent (an exemption to this essential requirement may apply to applicants who have demonstrated equivalent knowledge of and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people or who are Aboriginal). Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or equivalent.What's on offer for the successful candidate$120,384 full-time salary (includes 10% remote allowance) + 11% superannuation. Generous weekly rent subsidy of $300/week (T & C’s apply). Generous tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 annually. Additional 1 week of leave after 12 months of service. 3 days of additional leave between Christmas and New Year.
