We are currently seeking an experienced Project Payroll Lead to support the ongoing operation of payroll services while contributing to the transition to a new HCM/Payroll/Time Sheeting solution. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll management and leadership, particularly within Goverment Enviorments. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-level, accurate, and comprehensive advice and service to senior management regarding payroll processes and payments. Manage business-as-usual processes, ensuring all standard procedures are followed Ensure payroll services comply with relevant legislation, certified agreements, and award conditions. Lead the payroll team by promoting operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong focus on employee experience and high performance. Act as the subject matter expert for all payroll matters, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of remuneration activities. Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring data entry, verification, and disbursements are confidential and precise. Act as a liaison between the payroll team and the broader project, providing feedback on issues identified within the current payroll solution to support project delivery. Champion change initiatives, supporting the payroll team through project activities, parallel pays, and the transition to the new solution. Skills & Experience: Extensive experience in a medium to large payroll environment; experience in local government is advantageous. Proven experience with multiple, complex awards and payroll systems. Professional qualifications relevant to payroll and HR management are highly regarded. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team in a project-driven environment.
