**Join Our Team and Become a Wildlife Superhero**
With a flexible schedule, you can dedicate just one shift per week or fortnight to help our furry friends. Our shifts run from 8:30am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-8:30pm, giving you the perfect balance between volunteering and personal life.
What We Offer:
* Competency training for 12 weeks, after which you can take on a full shift or a shorter weekly shift.
* The opportunity to work under experienced Hospital Managers and Supervisors.
We're committed to helping wildlife get back on their feet and into the wild. As a volunteer, you'll be part of a team that makes a real difference in the lives of animals.
Responsibilities:
1. Husbandry and Animal Care: Prepare food for a variety of animals, clean cages, vivariums, aviaries, and other housing facilities.
2. Maintenance and Cleaning: Wash dishes, laundry, perches, and equipment, sweep, and mop hospital facilities.
3. Animal Welfare: Weigh animals, assist feeding, and provide enrichment and behavioral training.
4. Transportation: Transport animals to and from zoos or other wildlife organizations.
5. Record Keeping: Accurately record animal information and activities.
Requirements:
* You must be at least 18 years old before applying to volunteer with us.
* A current tetanus vaccination is recommended, but not mandatory.
* No proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required.
* A $11.00 registration fee and a $35.00 uniform fee are required upon acceptance.
