Academy Ballet is looking for a senior Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) certified practitioner to both teach and develop the students through the RAD program.ResponsibilitiesCoaching and developing advanced students to perform at a professional level in the field, and to complete RAD certifications. This requires being able to cover other areas of dance including jazz, contemporary, lyrical and also focus on the strengthening needs of the students.Responsible for organising, choreographing, and leadership of solo, duo, trios and group eisteddfod and concert pieces for students.Teach RAD ballet program to classical students from PrePrimary through to Advanced II.Be able to work with parents of students, both at the junior level, and in support of the advanced students developing in the field.Contribute to the ballet and dance curriculum to meet the needs of the students in developing in the field.QualificationsRAD teaching qualification.Versatility in teaching jazz, contemporary, lyrical, strengthening.Experience teaching and developing students across a variety of ages from preschoolers to teens as well as varying abilities from beginner to advanced/professional.Choreographic and performance skills.Basic computer skills.Who we areAcademy Ballet was established in 1979 and has a long & proud history of teaching young people.
