Job Description Work for a developer with an exciting pipeline of projects in Electrical Engineering with HV and design experience based in Melbourne. Join an exciting developer as a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer and play a pivotal role in driving Australia's energy transition. This position involves working on both the development and construction phases of renewable energy projects. The role aims to deliver quality assets and contribute to continuous improvement in the company's projects. Key Responsibilities Include: Technical Project Leadership: Leading engineering efforts, coordinating resources, and managing interfaces with stakeholders. Project Development: Supporting design, feasibility studies, risk mitigation, and financial analysis. Procurement Support: Assisting in the technical aspects of procurement, including contract negotiations and finalizing technical schedules. Delivery Support: Providing technical assistance during construction, including site visits, reviews, and defect assessments. Asset Management: Offering technical advice on operational issues, maintenance, and optimization. Consultant and Contractor Coordination: Working closely with external consultants to deliver engineering services. Technical Due Diligence: Supporting due diligence activities for financing and acquisition opportunities. Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on industry trends to drive innovation and ensure best practices. Resource Management: Planning and allocating resources within the electrical team and mentoring team members. Leadership and Financial Management: Contributing to team and company strategy, supporting budgeting and risk management, and ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance. Success in this role requires a strong background in HV electrical engineering, along with experience in grid connection of renewables or experience in developing electrical infrastructure. In addition, a strong grasp of project management principles, particularly in large-scale construction projects, including aspects like contracts, safety, environment, stakeholder management, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance. Qualifications: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline. Post graduate qualification in engineering or related technical discipline is desirable.
