Overview
Joining the Community Nursing Team for the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality Out of Hospital nursing services to adult and paediatric clients in the community setting. Assessing individual clients’ health care needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate services with other disciplines or agencies. You will also provide valuable health promotion and education to clients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of each individual. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care. You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience in community nursing practice, you will be capable of responding to and managing a workload with multiple priorities which may change from day to day. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will equip you to work effectively with children, youth, women, families and the aged, where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
