Role Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for designing and for a build-out of a scalable modern software application for our clients.
You will also be responsible for maintaining existing, mature and high throughput software applications for our clients, including those that
support a large customer base, by developing value-added features, troubleshooting issues, improving application stability and performance,
and tackling tech-debt.
You will produce high quality code that is secure, performant and well tested across the entire technology stack, from backend API and
processes to frontend UI.
You will apply mature engineering principles and build modular services on cloud platforms, virtual machines and other deployment platforms.
You would also be required to handle the CI/CD aspects of software, leveraging containerised deployment and advanced orchestration tools
such as Kubernetes.
You will provision, maintain and operate cloud resources to support software applications.
You will also support the value stream from idea to deployment, demonstrating expertise in an Agile way of working, aligned with DevOps
practices, with high-performing and self-organising cross-functional teams including product and design teams.
You will also contribute to the development and growth of engineers in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade software applications using modern technologies, with an in-depth
understanding of the cloud-native ecosystem.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers.
• Ability to design modular, scalable systems and drive the buildout component independently.
• Familiarity with design patterns, clean coding standards, as well as functional and object-oriented programming.
• Strong experience working with top programming languages such as JavaScript, GoLang and Python and Java.
• Strong experience working with frontend frameworks such as Svelte, Angular, React,,, TypeScript, ORM.
• Knowledge of database systems, including relational (PostgresSQL, MySQL, DB2) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS services including EKS, ELB, API Gateway, Lambda.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and reliable developer platforms.
• Strong ability to implement unit/integration tests, end-to-end tests, QA and automated tests.
• Proven problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Other technical skills needed could include Python, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, IaC: Terraform, Cloud
Formation, Helm, Splunk, Dynatrace.
