About the Role
In this pivotal position, you will conduct sales activities for the businesses Heat Engineering products, aiming to achieve a budget of £2-5 million in capital equipment sales and service projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Identifying Sales Opportunities: Engage directly with customers, utilise your industry network, and attend relevant conferences to promote our products.
2. Customer Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while uncovering future business opportunities.
3. Proposal Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to prepare technical specifications and sales proposals that meet customer requirements.
4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring our commitments to customers are met without exceeding scope.
5. Project Liaison: Work closely with project engineers post-contract award to ensure effective communication and project execution.
What we are Looking For
1. Sales Expertise: Experience in sales within the engineering or manufacturing sector or great communication skills and the drive to get into sales.
2. Electrical or Mechanical Background: A Mechanical or Electrical Background, this can be in engineering or trades.
3. Networking Skills: Ability to build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts.
4. Customer-Focused Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying customer needs and providing exceptional service.
5. Reporting & Planning: Strong analytical skills for preparing regular sales reports and developing annual business plans.
