Brief DescriptionThe purpose of the Solution Design Lead role is to work closely with Business Capability Lead, Operational and Technical BAs, SEO Architecture, Network Engineers, BAU Solution Designers, and business stakeholders to define the solution vision, offer solution context to business requirements, help prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and align with the network strategy.The role sits within the Network Portfolio of the Service Evolution team, who are accountable to develop, lead and govern the strategy and deliver robust Remedy to Snow transformation and improvement initiatives.The key focus of the role is to identify upstream and downstream impacts of Core Scenarios under transformation and offer technical guidance to the Operations and Tech BAs to identify requirements to support the seamless transformation of Core Scenarios, as well as working closely with the Architecture team in the solutioning of those requirements.The Solution Design Lead will identify all technical UAT and BRT test cases required to ensure the solution does not impact the integrity of the Network eco-system, thus ensuring minimal disruption to the business and existing automations, applications, and systems.Job ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities of Solution Design LeadThe Solution Design Lead is accountable to ensure that the Discovery of upstream and downstream impact assessments is undertaken and considered as a feed into Ideation in the to-be process design, requirement gathering, data modelling, and solutioning phases, ensuring appropriate test cases are identified to inform UAT and BRT.During Discovery, identifying impacted systems, automations, and BOTs, requestors, implementors, internal and external impacted stakeholders and processes that relate to all Business Scenarios within a Core Scenario.During Ideation, ensuring that requirements and 'To-Be' process solutioning considers the upstream and downstream impacts of those solutions as well as offering a technical understanding of the technical workings of all upstream and downstream systems, apps, Automations, and BOTs.Working with Operational and Technical BAs to ensure that all business requirements have been interpreted appropriately and that technical requirements and EPICs are representative of the required technical understanding of the proposed solutions.Ensuring that the impacts of proposed solutions have been appropriately considered from an 'upstream and downstream' (e.g. data models and mapping, upstream/ downstream system impact, automations, BOTs, AI, and dashboards) impact assessment perspective.Performing a technical impact assessment of systems and support with solution design and development teams.Defining and delivering valuable solutions that offer transformative benefits and are aligned to Service Evolution's vision and key initiatives.During Plan and Iteration, the Solution Design Lead will support the prioritisation of EPICs and capabilities for delivery that meet the highest business value, network strategy, and the strategic business objectives and outcomes.In addition, the Solution Design is accountable to ensure that the right technical UAT and BRT test cases are identified to ensure the proposed solutions do not impact the integrity of the Network eco-system, thus ensuring minimal disruption to the business and existing automations, applications, and systems.Responsibilities of Solution Design Lead:Support the Discovery, Ideation, Planning, Iteration, and Transition phases driving transformation or improvements to our IT systems and processes.Conduct an Enterprise Impact Assessment of the business scenarios, identifying upstream and downstream impacts of Business Scenarios under transformation and ensure this is fed as entry criteria to Ideation.Offer technical guidance to Process Leads, Operations, and Tech BAs to identify To Be processes, requirements, and solutions to support the seamless transformation of Core Scenarios with minimal disruption to the business and existing apps and systems.Elicit and document technical and network requirements and feed them into business & technical requirements.Review technical specifications, Architecture solutions, Evaluate APIs, integration impacts, to proactively influence solution design.Collaborate and approve technical specifications and acceptance criteria for each epic (feature) and user story with the development team.Ensure technical backlog is transparent, up to date, visible, and understood by the scrum team and stakeholders.Support the Business Acceptance Lead to monitor the progress and status of development, System Integration (SIT), and user acceptance (UAT) functions through briefing sessions, timely feedback, and technical guidance.Validating and contributing to business scenario definition and development to ensure solution will achieve the agreed business outcomes.Champion Agile methodology system and project management delivery.You will be a Subject Matter expert in telecommunications Network Engineering with experience in Network Management Centre (Network Operations Centre), IT project delivery, Strategy & roadmap design, system integration, and system impact analysis. You should have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skills and be able to show proven experience in delivering large complex programs of work with experience working in an Agile project environment.Key Accountabilities:Discovery, Ideation, Planning, Iteration, and Transition (75%)Support Discovery of As Is business and system processes including legacy solutions, in order for the team to successfully document business scenarios as well as drafting the strategic technology solution.Be instrumental in Ideation of the To Be processes and Technology Solution working with the Architect to break down business scenarios (Acceptance Criteria) into Capabilities and our DevSecOps teams to further document the detailed business scenarios into Epics.Manage the product backlog and User Story creation with our DevSecOps teams through Planning and Iteration to ensure fit for purpose delivery of Capability, on time and within budget.Support the program team with the Transition of business users off legacy solutions and onto the strategic solution.Stakeholder Engagement (15%)Influence senior stakeholders across to optimise and refine the systems architecture and platforms to drive effective and efficient operational business outcomes.Interlocks with business stakeholders to understand business problems and make recommendations on ways to solve for those problems.Ensure Stakeholders and SMEs cross-functional teams are fully engaged in Business Analyst and documentation requirements, sign-offs, and other activities.Interface with SEO throughout the planning & delivery lifecycle for each capability outcome.Risk Management (10%)Exercise adequate risk management across all aspects of the Project through demonstrating a thorough understanding of all risk and ability to identify and raise risks.Knowledge & Experience Required5 years + experience working as a Network Engineer / Solution Lead with a network operation environment / Solution architect, Solution lead.5+ years' experience in system automation delivery programs.5+ years' experience with defining new products & IT Solutions.3 years' experience in IT Strategy planning &/or working on technology transformation initiatives.Experiences in designing and delivering ServiceNow solutions.Experience in strategic and scalable product and operational delivery.Agile Coach/Scrum Master/Product Owner/Product Manager qualification.Experience in general business analysis in a large enterprise.Subject Matter expert in case management best practices.Knowledge of system testing process, environments & execution (ST/SIT/UAT).Practical/Specialist/Technical Skills:Excellent people leading skills.Excellent organisational management skills.Strong general business acumen.Can quickly build relationships across an organisation to align and leverage in delivering accountabilities.Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver outcomes with external stakeholders and customers.Excellent Practical problem-solving skills.Ability to "bridge the gap" between teams and cross-functional processes.Experience in a related position and ability to work under minimum instruction.Other Characteristics, Skills, Competencies and Leadership Capabilities:Ability to lead from the front.Embed continuous improvement behaviour and culture.Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver outcomes with external stakeholders and customers.A continual improvement mindset who can deliver improved customer, people, and business outcomes.You are expected to adhere to the policy and procedures and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk.You must keep the safety and wellbeing of yourself and those around you always front of mind.You must co-operate with any requests or actions taken by client to support a safe workplace and always manage HSE risk.To use equipment, in accordance with any instructions given by client consistent with its safe and proper use.#J-18808-Ljbffr
