With responsibility to meet legislative requirements regarding Aboriginal cultural heritage management, you will be relied upon to provide advice for best practice of Aboriginal cultural heritage preservation. The role will be key to the success in managing and fostering meaningful stakeholder relationships and will represent the branch in Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) negotiations with native title claim groups and/or Registered Native Title Body Corporates.Additionally, this role will also manage the development delivery of complex projects relevant to Aboriginal joint management including planning, scoping, resourcing, stakeholder consultation and key milestone reporting within a defined program of work ensuring timeframes and quality standards are met in support of the achievement of NSW Government and corporate outcomes.About you You'll be experienced in providing strategic advice and support with the development, implementation, management and reporting of large complex projects that relate to Aboriginal cultural heritage or joint management. You'll have a proven track record working with Aboriginal communities and forming strong partnerships that have enabled you to deliver significant outcomes for Aboriginal people on the ground. Your detailed knowledge of the Native Title Act 1993 will ensure you provide expert technical advice across the branch regarding native title and ILUA implementation to ensure consistency in the development of policies, procedures and agreements that relate to joint management and native title.You'll also possess high level communication and risk management skills to seek advice and implement specialist advice as required and to support specialist staff in NPWS regarding native title and/or joint management negotiations whilst ensuring senior management are fully briefed on compliance and risks.
