HDR deliver high-end workshop solutions for the automotive industry. Our area of expertise is the design, installation, servicing, and repair of custom automotive workshops with oil and air systems, hoists, compressors, and more.
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician with a specialization in Compressors and compressed air systems. This role will support the research, design, and layout of electrical installations, as well as the operations and maintenance of equipment and facilities. This role is based in Toowoomba.
Essential criteria and skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be a team player
Minimum of three years’ experience
Formal qualifications relevant to the role is an advantage
Duties:
Preparing drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical installations in automotive workshops
Assist in the changes to the design of electrical comms/conduits before implementation based on on-site surveys
Add any onsite changes that differ from the original design for approval
Testing of installed equipment, collating all data and providing assistance where the desired performance has yet to be reached
Assist the team responsible for estimating material costs and quantities and any other additional costs identified
Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying, and repairing electronic equipment and installations to confirm with regulations and safety requirements
Assist in the education and training of the team in compressor installation/maintenance/troubleshooting and compressed air systems
Assist with research and experimentation programs
