Opportunities for a Dentist at Ravenhall Correctional Centre.Attractive Base Salary of $180,000.00 (Based on Full Time) + Super, Free Parking, Reward and Recognition Programs and Professional Development Benefits.About the rolesGEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Prisons across Victoria.The Dentist will work to their full scope of clinical practice in the provision of oral health services, in accordance with GEO Healthcare policies and procedures and legislative and contractual requirements.Opportunities exist for Part Time, 2 days per week (currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays), at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, with opportunity to work additional days at other locations nearby.Key Responsibilities:Ensure dental services are provided in accordance with legislation, standards, GEO Healthcare policy and procedures and contractual requirements.Supervise the triaging patient referrals for oral health services by the Dental Assistant to ensure patients are scheduled for a dental appointment, based on clinical need and contractual timeframes.Develop and implement oral hygiene therapy plans for patients.Ensure Oral Hygiene Therapy is provided in accordance with legislation, standards, GEO Healthcare policy and procedures and contractual requirements.Refer patients to a dentist when clinically indicated.Maintain the dental suite within a GEO Healthcare location consistent with quality efficiency, effectiveness and safe dental practice.Coordinate all referrals for oral health services, including screening, triage and scheduling of appointments which meet clinical acuity and contractual timeframes.Pre-set materials and equipment required for dental procedures.The ideal candidate will have:Qualification in relevant General Dentistry Discipline.AHPRA registration as a general Dentist without restriction.Other Requirements of the role:Ionizing Radiation Apparatus Use License in Victoria for Intra-Oral Radiography (Licence to provide dental panoramic radiography is desirable).Ability to work within a prison setting, involving direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare.Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.About GEO HealthcareGEO Healthcare employs highly skilled multidisciplinary teams of healthcare practitioners to ensure people in prison can access and receive the healthcare services they need.GEO Healthcare is a subsidiary of The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd – a company providing correctional and healthcare services in Australia for over 30 years.We are looking for qualified people to join our company who share the company Values: Understanding, Respect, Accountability, Teamwork, Excellence.To apply, we ask that you complete a short questionnaire below and attach a cover letter and current resume.People with diverse backgrounds and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.Make a real difference – Apply Now!
