Management Accountant
Job Summary:
Deliver the annual budget and forecast submissions, staff management plans, and monthly reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and/or mentor a team of assistant accountants to provide and deliver a high-quality client service to identified faculties, strategic research centers, and institutes across all aspects of research finance and grant accounting.
* Maintain a high standard, culture, and practice for application of research expenditure and subsequent financial reporting and acquittals to ensure activity reflects and is in accordance with grant and contract funding rules.
* Compile the external reporting of complex research grants, agreements, and partnerships.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards, in accounting, finance, or other similar discipline, and extensive relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant accounting experience and/or education.
* Certified practising accountant/Chartered accountant.
* Previous experience at a senior administrative level in financial administration and related activities, preferably in a University or other large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
