Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Group Director of Sales will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence.You will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Leadership Team to oversee and direct all aspects of our Sales strategy to ensure the individual performance of each retreat/hotel meets or exceeds the annual sales budget as well as the overall group performance.Accepting applications from both Brisbane and Sydney based candidates. Salter Brothers Hospitality currently operates 16 retreat hotels and estates; more than 20 restaurants and bars; 8 Spa Anise spas and other wellness facilities; as well as Spicers Scenic Rim Trail, one of the largest ecotourism ventures in Queensland with 38 rooms over five campsites.There are plans for considerable growth in the near future. The role and key duties: Creating, implementing and reviewing the sales strategies for all Hotels, outlets and retreats within the portfolio across all market segments;Conduct needs analysis relating to sales of each of the individual properties to determine areas requiring particular focus;Develop and manage the sales budget: Create and manage the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that revenue targets are achieved;Identify new opportunities across the network of Hotels and Retreats within the Salter Brothers Hospitality business including creation of local footprints;Foster positive relationships with a respectful and partnership based approach both internally and externally;Evaluate our participation in the various sales channels;Set goals and expectations for the Sales team;Monitor and assess the team's performance to ensure they are meeting activity and sales targets;Work with the Marketing team to ensure seamless execution of strategies and events;Work collaboratively with Marketing and Revenue to ensure room night and revenue targets are appropriately supported;Ensure the team is delivering a seamless turnover from sales to operations while providing a high level service;Manage key accounts for the portfolio.Essential criteria required to be considered: Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or similar;Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior Hotel sales capacity;Prior experience in the development and execution of sales strategies at a group level and also individual property level;Strong relationship building skills to maximise conversion and sales performance;Leadership skills to develop and grow sales team;An ability to navigate and understand complex stakeholder environments;Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry;Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions and understand commercial implications;Ability to think strategically and plan on a mid to long term scale.To apply online, please click on the apply button.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?What's your expected annual base salary?How much notice are you required to give your current employer? #J-18808-Ljbffr
