You'll apply advanced technical payroll skills and high-level knowledge to resolve complex payroll issues and provide mentoring and coaching to staff to achieve team performance standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing master data and rostering adjustments in payroll systems, ensuring compliance with standard payroll procedures and relevant industrial legislation. Additionally, you will work closely with other team members within Payroll Services to deliver efficient, high-quality, client-focused services, offering mentorship, advice, and assistance as needed. Key competencies/suitability (role specific criteria and personal qualities) Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues, as well as the ability to access and interpret relevant industrial awards, agreements, statutory regulations and legislation relating to payroll. Demonstrated advanced conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities in relation to complex payroll and establishment issues including utilising a risk management approach to the prioritisation and management of complex cases. Proven ability to support and mentor payroll staff and contribute to ongoing individual and team development and effectiveness and the achievement of agreed performance objectives. Demonstrated advanced interpersonal, communication and client services skills with a diverse range of clients.
